Coriander seeds
Coriander, also known as Chinese parsley, is an annual herb in the Apiaceae family. The stems and leaves of this plant are commonly called cilantro.

Coriander is used in cuisines worldwide, and its seeds have a lemony-citrus flavor when crushed. It is described as warm, nutty, spicy, and orange. Coriander seeds are a key ingredient in garam masala and Indian curries, often combined with cumin. It is also widely used for pickling vegetables. In Germany and South Africa, coriander seeds are used in sausages, and in Russia and Central Europe, they can be found in rye breads such as Borodinsky bread as an alternative to cumin. Furthermore, coriander seeds are used in brewing some styles of beer, particularly Belgian wheat beers.
